Overview
Dots brings the daily counter workflow into one interface: find a product, build an order, take payment and issue an invoice. The current streamlined release exposes cashier, closing, invoices, customers and administrative settings.
Challenge
Counter staff need to locate items and complete orders without losing the current basket, while managers need clear product, customer and closing records.
Solution
The cashier pairs a searchable, categorized product grid with a persistent order panel. Takeaway and delivery, discounts, customer selection and multiple payment methods fit within the same flow.
Engineering
The active release keeps legacy restaurant modules behind a feature flag. Server rules validate shift state, quantities and discounts, while receipt rendering supports thermal printers and a browser fallback.
Architecture
Laravel handles permissions, orders, shifts and printing services; Blade, Alpine.js and Tailwind render the bilingual RTL/LTR interface. Local fonts and illustrations support offline operation.
Features
Product search and categories, order basket, customer selection, cash and digital payments, shift closing, invoices, product settings, light and dark themes.
Results
The current product provides a focused cashier workspace with its supporting administrative screens. The screenshots show the running local release; no sales uplift or deployment outcome is claimed.
